Reading Group: Community Accountability
A reading and discussion group for Creative Intervention's toolkit on developing a community accountability process.
Join a polytheist advocate for domestic violence survivors and other polytheists in a group discussion of Creative Intervention's toolkit for developing community accountability processes to address interpersonal violence. The toolkit was created by women of color as a tool for community response outside of law enforcement or legal systems. It offers evidence-based information and practical suggestions for the ways in which communities can empower themselves in centering the needs of their members who have been harmed and holding people who caused harm accountable for their actions in a way that allows for permanent change and growth.
This course is divided into five sections, following the section division of the reading material. Each section includes video and audio recordings of the conversations plus copies of the PDF offered for free by Creative Interventions.
This course is a work in progress with section discussions happening weekly on Sundays at 12pm PST/3pm EST. It's scheduled to be finished June 28th. If you would like to participate in one of the live meetings, please email the facilitator at [email protected]
This resource is offered at no cost. Please consider donating any amount of your choice to MJ through PayPal here, joining its Patreon, or supporting Creative Interventions here, or you can share word of MJ by following us on Facebook!
